ORS’ Brandeis Parkman Appointed to New Henry County Chair’s Transition Team
Brandeis Parkman was appointed to Henry County Chair Carlotta Harrell’s transition team shortly after Harrell was elected in the November 2020 election. In addition to being a Henry County resident, Brandeis was selected because Harrell is particularly interested in building a team that not only brings subject matter expertise, but also resources and connections to support economic development, infrastructure, and public safety planning for the county. Brandeis was undoubtedly tapped for her legal, legislative policy and government relations expertise, as well as her ties to the community.
The transition team convened for the first time on Dec. 8. Half of the members joined via Zoom while others attended the meeting in person at the Atlanta Motor Speedway, hosted by AMS President Brandon Hutchinson. Participants were city managers from all four cities in the county, representatives from the sheriff-elects office, the county district attorney, the school board chair, members of Harrell’s campaign team, and business leaders from diverse industries. Brandeis serves on the Public Safety and Neighborhoods committee.
Congratulations, Brandeis for being appointed to this honorable service!
