It coulda been worse — Crossover day didn’t end as late as in years past. The Senate left by dinner time and the House members struck deals before midnight. Only eight legislative days remain in the 2022 Legislative Session.

Red rover, red rover, send your bills on over! With Monday being a Committee work day, Tuesday is Crossover Day — the last day for a bill to pass out of either legislative chamber. Bills that don’t must be re-filed for next year’s session. There are 13 legislative days remaining.

Divisions at the Capitol going away. (Just kidding!) — For the first time in nearly two years, the Senate rolled back a COVID-19 policy and took down black curtains that divided the hallway in front of the Senate chamber and the third floor.

Ohhh, we're halfway there  (whoa! livin’ on a prayer… ) — Thursday was Legislative Day 20, leaving 20 more days in the 2022 Legislative Session. Crossover Day – the deadline for a bill to pass out of either legislative chamber — is approaching. Bills that fail to do so are no longer in consideration this session. Committee hearings are set to begin at 8 am on Monday, with the full assembly convening at 10 am.

The legislature was in session Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday this week. Wednesday served as a Committee Work Day. With the day off on Monday for Presidents Day, Tuesday will be Legislative Day 19, after which 21 legislative days will remain. We are almost halfway through the 2022 Legislative Session.

Show some love —  On Monday, both chambers will convene at 10 am for Legislative Day 16, after which 24 legislative days will remain. Committee hearings are set to begin as early as 7:00 am on some days; Wednesday is a committee work day. Check the changing schedule regularly.
