In October 2019, ORS contracted with GLBC to oversee its communications and legislative affairs. With regard to the latter, our efforts have positioned the Caucus as thought and action leaders on various issues impacting all Georgians. Since March 2020, ORS has assisted the GLBC in addressing the challenges facing African Americans due to the COVID-19 pandemic. When the legislature reconvened, our firm was instrumental in the passage of the Hate Crimes Legislation, working alongside GLBC leadership to develop a strategy for bill passage. Currently, ORS is assisting with the planning of GLBC’s annual legislative conference and developing a 2021 legislative agenda that speaks to the concerns of African Americans across the state.
