GoPuff treats vaccine techs with refreshments to top off $25K gift to Emory
Gesture caps donation to the Emory COVID-19 Impact Fund
(ATLANTA) At the end of April, Gopuff, the go-to solution for immediate everyday needs, donated and delivered drinks and snacks to healthcare workers and volunteers administering COVID-19 vaccinations and support at the Emory Vaccine Clinic, located in the former Kohl’s department store at Northlake Mall. Earlier in April the company gifted Emory Healthcare with a $25,000 donation for its Emory COVID-19 Impact Fund. The donation is part of the last phase of Gopuff’s national Health Care Support Initiative focusing on giving back to local organizations making a great positive impact on their community in response to COVID-19.
“We appreciate the generous donation from Gopuff to support Emory’s COVID-19 Impact Fund, as well as the refreshments provided to staff and volunteers who have helped keep our vaccine clinic operational for many months,” says Dane Peterson, president and COO of Emory Healthcare. “The funds and the kindness shown to our team will go a long way to assist in our vaccination efforts, as we work to help bring this pandemic to an end.”
Over the last year, Gopuff has donated $300,000 to organizations across the country working on the frontlines of COVID-19. Gopuff delivers thousands of everyday essentials – including refreshments like those provided to the vaccine techs – to customers in minutes through its app. In early May, the company announced an exclusive partnership to fulfill everyday essentials delivery services on Uber Eats.
