Howard Franklin elected to the Georgia Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors
Ohio River South CEO chosen to serve on prestigious business board
At its first meeting in 2023, the Georgia Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors appointed Howard Franklin, Ohio River South’s founder and CEO, as a member of the Board. The board of directors features business and civic leaders from across the state with representation from every industry sector.
“I’ve always appreciated the Georgia Chamber’s voice in our state’s political and business ecosystem,” said Howard. “I’ve been impressed with the scale of the chamber’s ambitions and I’m excited to join the board and help keep Georgia the #1 state to do business while improving quality of life for all Georgians.”
The Georgia Chamber has served as the voice for the business community at the Capitol and has provided a myriad of resources for members for over a century.
The first meeting of the year commenced on January 11 where Howard joined new and familiar faces to discuss the Chamber’s short and long-term goals. Howard’s board membership provides greater access to business leaders statewide and greater connectivity for Ohio River South clients.
Prior to joining the board, Howard was active in the chamber’s Government Affairs Committee and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Council. He also serves on the board of GeorgiaForward, a statewide convener improving the state by promoting cross-sector, statewide conversations and partnerships.
