Team Member Spotlight: GA WIN’s newest board member, Brandeis Parkman
What is your favorite thing about working with ORS?
Working with my professional peers who bring a diverse set of talents and resources to help successfully serve our clients.
What clients do you serve?
Currently, I’m working with Atkins Global, Clayton County Government, City, Fulton County Development Authority, Freedom Park, and the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association, among others. It’s never a dull day at Ohio River South!
How did you come to be a member of the GA WIN Board of Directors?
I am a 2018 GA WIN Leadership Academy graduate which was such a rewarding experience that I welcomed the opportunity to serve as a board member.
How will your GA WIN role benefit your work with ORS?
The board is active in identifying and supporting female political leaders at the beginning of their political careers. This engagement certainly helps me to serve the interests of our clients.
What’s the most interesting policy challenge you’ve worked on while working at ORS?
Our work with the Georgia Professional Sports & Integrity Alliance to advance mobile esports betting proved to be a unique policy shaping experience during a highly-charged legislative session that was dominated by election reform. The sports betting measure became mired in partisan politics and didn’t pass. Mobile gaming firms and sports teams and leagues are looking to the 2022 session to finally adopt mobile gaming in the state.
