Alyse Murray | Senior Director, State and Local Government

Alyse leads the legislative team at the state capitol for Ohio River South. She has purposefully cultivated a network of bipartisan relationships across the Georgia General Assembly including state agency leaders. She previously served as Governmental Relations Representative on behalf of the Georgia Electric Membership Corporation, representing 41 electric cooperatives and other electric and transmission organizations. There, she worked on a wide range of issues including land use, renewable energy, broadband access and more.

Prior to that, Alyse served as the Director of Governmental Affairs for the Georgia Automobile Dealers Association where she advocated legislative priorities for more than 500 dealer members across Georgia on issues like taxation, emissions, and more. Before cutting her teeth at the Georgia General Assembly on behalf of statewide trade associations, Alyse served in multiple roles in the administration of Nathan Deal, Georgia’s 82nd governor. She also played a key role in his gubernatorial campaign and reelection to a second term.

An Albany native, Alyse earned a Political Science degree from Valdosta State University. She is also a graduate of the Zell Miller Leadership Institute and the Georgia Academy of Economic Development. Alyse has deep ties to the community – both in metro Atlanta and South Georgia – and a strong appreciation for rural Georgia. She is a longtime volunteer with YMCA of the USA and the Atlanta Humane Society, and she lives in Atlanta with her husband and daughter.
