ORS Brings Back Its Annual Bipartisan Brunch
This January, ORS resumed a worthwhile tradition that began pre-pandemic – our 2nd Annual Bipartisan Brunch – even bigger and better in our new south downtown offices!
Always a willing host, our entire team welcomed elected and appointed officials from every level of government and both major political parties (alongside clients and colleagues, of course).
Our excuse? A celebration (or mourning) of the start of the 2023 Georgia General Assembly (which is constitutionally required to gavel in on the second Monday in January).
A spirit of bipartisanship filled the room (buoyed by a delicious southern brunch and free-flowing beverages), as leaders from both chambers got acquainted and discussed the agenda.
We were happy to see so many new faces and new titles (the 157th Georgia General Assembly welcomes one of the largest and most diverse freshman classes in recent history) and to catch up with colleagues we hadn’t seen since last session.
The power to convene remains one of the most important arrows in the lobbyist quiver, and we were proud to put it to good use. The gold dome is full of storied traditions, and Ohio River South’s bipartisan brunch is one that seems destined to endure.
