Friday, March 27, we took downtown dynamism straight to the Gold Dome for Downtown Atlanta Day at the Capitol. It was a high-impact morning, packed into 90 minutes of meaningful connection during a fast-paced legislative session.

Ohio River South kicked off the second half of the 158th Georgia General Assembly with our 5th Annual Bipartisan Brunch. It’s become one of the best (and bubbly-est) traditions with the Gold Dome crowd. Monday was a key part of our Southern Hospitality series, as we host leaders from across the country and at every level of government to foster connection and collaboration.

Ohio River South is proud to have recently hosted the Technology Association of Georgia’s (TAG) Legislators of the Year Awards for the second year in a row. Led by TAG and sponsored by Wing, it was held at ORS headquarters in South Downtown.

Ohio River South hosted our fourth annual Southern Hospitality Brunch to celebrate the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation’s Annual Legislative Conference in Washington D.C. Elected officials at every level of government from across the country came together with business leaders from across industries to savor in the fellowship, fun and gourmet southern fixings at the breathtaking La Vie.

The ORS team was proud to drive the planning and organizing of the first Dutch Day at the capitol, capping the day with a reception at our offices. Numerous lawmakers joined Consul General Jaap Veerman along with several Dutch companies Under the Gold Dome that morning. This was followed by a series of private, curated meetings with several elected officials, the Cobb County Delegation, and the Georgia Legislative Black Caucus. Subjects ranged from agriculture, to semiconductor production, to cultural exchange and more. We’re excited to continue to foster this relationship with such an important partner.

To mark a monumental evening in American politics, Ohio River South welcomed a bipartisan group of professionals to watch former President Donald Trump and President Joe Biden debate for the first time in the 2024 election cycle – just down the road at CNN Studios. The historically early and risky debate proved to be a pivotal moment in the election and we were honored to host more than 100 guests to watch history be made.

The African American Mayors Association (AAMA) celebrated its 10th anniversary in Atlanta. And to mark the occasion, Ohio River South welcomed more than 500 VIPs from Georgia and across the country to celebrate ‘A Magnificence of Mayors’ with live music, food, and fellowship in the state’s largest venue – Mercedes Benz Stadium.
